There lived a farmer in a village. He had a wonderful goose. The goose laid an
egg of gold
everyday. The farmer was
very greedy . He thought
that the stomach of the
goose would be
full of eggs.
If he could get
all the eggs at a time,
he would be
a rich man
quickly. In order to
satisfy his greed,
he cut the bully
of the goose. But
he found no egg
no egg there. He became
extremely disappointed. He lost
the valuable goose
for ever. He was gradually
becoming rich having
one egg of gold
everyday. But he wanted to be rich quickly.
So instead of
becoming rich he become
poor. Through this incident
the farmer understood
that over greediness
brought misfortune for
him . If he were
patient and could
shake off his
greed, he could
have been rich
one day.
