A Village Doctor
A village doctor is an important person in the
village. He is well-known to every man
and woman. He is a blessing of God to the villagers.
Actually the village doctor is a quack. He has no
proper education in any school or college. Generally by working under a
qualified doctor he gains some experience. Then he starts practising in the in
the village.
A village doctor has a dispensary. There are one or
two almirahs of medicine, one or two chairs, a table and one or two benches for
the patients.
He has a strong sense of duty. He rises early in the morning and goes
to the dispensary. He gives prescription to the patients. Sometimes he goes out
to attend calls.
A village doctor leads a very simple life. Though
people call in him at their homes they pay him very little. Sometimes they pay
him nothing. But he performs his duty happily. His income is very scanty but he
is satisfied with it.
He is a very popular man in the village. The
villagers respect him highly. They seek his advice in all matters.
A village doctor is simple in his habit. He is loved
and respected by all. Not only the poor but also the rich behave gently with
him.
